Old yet new and exciting! – A Bit.Trip Beat review PDF Print E-mail

Nowadays, most gaming companies have releasing a handful of remakes of retro games and giving them a new look or a new feel to them. But Bit.Trip Beat is a game that takes retro gaming and turns it into something completely new.

Bit.Trip Beat has a very simple game play mechanics yet it is kind of difficult to master.  It plays basically like Pong, you get thrown blocks from the right side of your screen and you have to bounce those blocks back from where they came from, making it a little like a Shoot ‘Em Up type of game, like Gradius or R-type.  But of course it is not just that, while you hit every block you are also making the rhythm and music to the game, some examples of this are Space Channel 5, Rez or Space Invaders Extreme.

Blizzard Releases Mobile Authenticator for iPhone / iPod Touch. PDF Print E-mail
Written by DJTyrant

Blizzard has released a mobile application for their authenticator to be used with the newly released Battle.net accounts.

Currently the only game to use the authentication is World of WarCraft, but StarCraft II and Diablo III are planned to have the same log-in system and be attached to this same Battle.net account. The authenticator makes it so that everytime you log-in to your account (via WoW, SC2, D3, or the Battle.net website) after entering your username and password it asks you for a unique code that the authenticator generates, which expires in about 30 seconds, allowing you peace of mind for your Battle.net account. Be aware though this DOES NOT protect your current Battle.net account for StarCraft, WarCraft III, or Diablo I/II.

I love that song! - Welcome to Silent Hill PDF Print E-mail

iloveSilentHill

Silent Hill isn't your normal old town. It definitely sure ain't.

Today's track is the Theme for Silent Hill

Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.

Akira Yamaoka's masterpiece. He began working for Konami in the early 90's composing music for other video games, like Rocket Knight Adventures. Then he began his way to producing one of the most popular horror video games of all, Silent Hill. He basically did all for this game, directing, producing, the art, etc. But most of all the music. The music draws you into the creepy and sometimes sadistic nature of Silent Hill, the visuals and the music makes this games what it is now. I know I give Akira way too much credit, but damn is he awesome.

If you want to post your opinion about today's track or you've got a song suggestion you would like to see featured from a game let us know in the comments and we'll see what we can do about featuring it in an up coming article!
